…thinking of Lee Miller´s image of a desert landscape seen through a torn screen (1937) – the contrast of the interior and the exterior world. A thin screen seperates and defines the space. Below is Marcel Duchamp, Piston de courant d’air (1914). In its surrealistic way of contrasting the worlds of the unconscious and the conscious, the fashion shot (2009) kind of embodies and reflects this idea. …
