Dark colours can bring a new quality to north facing rooms. The natural light from the north is harsher and tends to bring out the cooler tone. Therefore it is quite difficult to create a room that has an inviting feeling of light and atmosphere. A great way to create cosy rooms is to embrace the darkness and set dramatic effects. Dark walls and interiors paired with well placed artificial light can create a sense of intimacy and bring some drama to otherwise neglected rooms. …
