Things and places that I am passionate about and inspire me…

Apparatus Studio just brought out a new collection of objects comprised of brass forms and crystal volumes. As usual, their work is highly aesthetical and styled in a very moody way. Read more about the design idea here ...

During our recent trip to Mexico we stayed at an amazing little airbnb house in the middle of nowhere. As the owner Claudio describes it, Casa Tiny was inspired by Henry Thoreau's "Walden", and is a place to enjoy a simple life in a minimal, low-impact, isolated abode. Opening to all sides, the size and functions of the house are reduced to a minimum and the materials are simple as its environment – smooth concrete and wooden details. The big table area is the centre of the house, extending to the outside, where the hammock offers a perfect hangout. The private secluded beach nearby and the lovely pool just in front of the house are all you need to enjoy your days. The house is surounded by nature and you wake up with the first sunrays over the tress, and fall asleep gazing at the stars – a safari-like experience. The simplicity and serenity of the place sets you at pace with mother earth and fulfils all expectations of a modern escape. Casa Tiny got us inspired to build something similar in the Swiss Alps...

The Prouvé Standard Chair: A classic, but still up to date. I love the colors...

Donald Judd’s unique perception of space is reflected in his five-story home and atelier at 101 Spring Street in New York. Space to him was the simple expression of complex though. Judd bought the house in 1968 and lived and worked there for over 30 years. He created furniture and art specifically for each room and viewed them as permanent installations, not to be removed from their original context. The house is preserved exactly like it was: Truly a Gesamtkunstwerk lived in...

Only looking at the pictures of the Hotel Le Pigalle, I can feel this special Parisian atmosphere and can imagine the mood of the vibrant quarter of Pigalle. Interior designer duo Festen created a unique spatial experience, that perfectly reflects the personality of the place and its neighborhood. I love the individual design and styling touches of the rooms and public spaces. Can't wait to go there...

Interior stylist Lotta Agaton will be responsible for the Trend Exhibition at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2017/2018. Under the theme “Contrasts”, the exhibition will show contrasts in materials and furniture as well as surprising combinations in residential and public interior design. I am looking forward to seeing Lotta’s work ...

...always inspired by the moody color and material palette of the interiors of theAcne Studios retail spaces. Interior design and images by Bozarthfornell Architects ...

I love the combination of the dark wall panels with the very structural furniture by Jean Prouvé and the classical chandelier, which gives the room a playful twist ...

Monday interior inspiration from Villa Noailles - one of the most inspiring buildings I know. Built in 1923 by architect Rob Mallet-Stevens in the hills above the city of Hyères for Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles, this gem was one of the first modernist buildings in France. Almost a 100 years old, the Villa still feels modern and radiates an exceptional modernist atmosphere and simplicity ...

It is no secret that I swoon over historic architecture details in combination with modern interior design. This bright Brooklyn townhouse hits it all: classical building elements, a chic monochromatic look and minimalistic furnishings. ...

A little material board for an interior design project in Zurich I am currently working on: dark, moody, elegant and atmospheric...

I recently discovered the little atelier of Buly in Paris. The shop on Rue Bonaparte in the sixth arrondissement is a little universe of fragrances, oils and candles and a float back in time to an era of beauty products that were made from natural ingredients...

Today I am inspired by contrasting black and white forms and Charlotte Perriand’s design of the CP-1 wall scones. Playfully arranged, they create different geometric structures, and function not only as a light source, but also as a piece of art in themselves. They contribute to an interior design, without being too iconic or dominant. ...

A corner in fashion designer Phillip Lim’s New York home. The simplicity of lines and natural tones give the room a tranquil atmosphere. I love the plywood chair paired with the fluffy Moroccan rug and especially the bird on windowsill. It adds personality and humour to the interiors. ...

Whenever in Vienna, I stay at Hotel Tigra, centrally located, with all my favourite places within easy reach. The walls of the hotel have witnessed a long and fascinating history: young Mozart stayed here when he played for the first time in the city in 1762. Vienna’s history and aura always get me inspired. So when the lovely team of Hotel Tigra asked me for a mood board with decor ideas, I immediately got down to work. The result? A well balanced mix of classic forms and clean modern lines and an inviting, unique atmosphere created by the qualities of different materials, layering and the subtle charm of artful details...

The molded plywood screen is one of Charles and Ray Eames’ oldest designs and rarely seen nowadays. It is not only a flexible way to divide space, but also a striking sculptural object and beautiful backdrop in any interior styling. ...

Modern and elegant interior architecture and interior styling by De Padova. The furniture brand's showroom in Milan is more than swoon worthy with its big industrial windows, lots of natural light and the iconic Taraxacum pendant lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1988. ...
